English Lecturer

• Monitor appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities.
• Provide in- class small group support to assigned students.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Care for and effectively assist students with special concerns.
• Analyze data to determine student progress and achievement.
• Work with individual and small groups of students to support mathematics instruction.
• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Keep accurate grade books, records and reports pursuant to school or district policy.
• Plan and carry out instruction, instructional activities and prepare learning materials.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
• Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
• Work with students to develop and monitor academic goals for both short- term and long-term success.
• Receptive to receiving coaching on a regular basis with administrators and teacher trainers.
• Strive to implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
• Evaluate and report on the progress of students according to board policy.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence (lesson plan) of preparation upon request of administrator.
• Maintain a positive, accepting attitude in working with students.
