Engineering Specialist Advisor

As the Systems Engineer at FedEx, you will be responsible for overseeing configuration management, system operations, security enforcement, network monitoring, and technical issue resolution across diverse platforms to ensure optimal performance and reliability. - Oversee the management of configuration items to maintain consistency and accuracy across systems and environments. - Manage and support multiple systems concurrently, ensuring efficient operation and troubleshooting across diverse platforms. - Implement and enforce security measures to protect IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access or breaches. - Monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. - Lead the deployment and configuration of development environments to support software development and testing activities. - Install and configure production systems to meet performance, reliability, and security requirements. - Manage escalated technical issues related to hardware, software, and systems across various technology areas. - Implement changes to IT systems and infrastructure following established change management procedures. - Lead or contribute to large-scale IT projects, providing guidance, direction, and technical expertise. - Mentor and coach junior team members to foster their professional growth and development in the IT field. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, or related discipline. - Eight (8) years of work experience in systems engineering, including five (5) years with appropriate operating systems/database software.
