Job Purpose:

The Engineering Officer Documentation is responsible for maintaining, verifying, and reviewing engineering documentation, SOPs, and compliance records related to utility systems, plant equipment, and electrical infrastructure. This role ensures alignment with cGMP, cGEP, and regulatory standards through accurate execution and documentation of engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and verify operational parameters of utility systems including Boiler, Chiller, Air Compressor, Hot Water Generator, Water System, HVAC, and Electrical systems.
  • Prepare and maintain SOPs, protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ), and qualification records for utility and process equipment.
  • Review and verify log sheet data of fire hydrant systems and ensure their operational functionality.
  • Inspect and monitor electrical components such as switchgear, BMC, transformers, VCBs, LT panels, DBs, and PDBs.
  • Ensure timely calibration and preventive maintenance of electrical instruments and equipment.
  • Perform and document preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and utility equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive qualification documentation for plant and utility equipment, including HVAC and PW water systems.
  • Verify BMS and AHU operational parameters, and maintain validation records for HVAC systems.
  • Monitor and ensure equipment operation as per SOPs and safety norms.
  • Review and update engineering SOPs to meet cGMP and audit requirements.
  • Handle QAMS, DMS, and engineering risk assessments and ensure readiness for audits.
  • Monitor electrical energy readings and verify power factor compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and support operational issues in plant machinery.
  • Allocate and oversee tasks assigned to shift engineers and technicians.
  • Check and review shift reports, preventive maintenance, and calibration records daily.
  • Supervise daily performance monitoring of the ETP system.
  • Participate in plant project activities and support project execution.
  • Assist in Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineering personnel as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma B.E. B.Tech in Electrical Mechanical Instrumentation or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing industry, preferably in utility or engineering documentation roles.
  • Knowledge of utility equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, calibration, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, QAMS, and DMS systems is preferred.
