Engineering Manager- Security

As a Capability Area Lead at Booking.com Security and Fraud team, you will have the end-to-end ownership of a specific capability area within the team. Your responsibilities include managing a team of analysts, engineers, product managers, and operations staff to ensure the identification and management of information assets and threats. You will report to one of the Pillar Leads in Security and be part of the Extended Security Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities: - Create a conducive working environment that fosters employee growth and development through feedback, coaching, and mentoring programs. - Coach your team on Booking.com values and lead by example in customer-centricity, ownership, continuous learning, teamwork, and ethical conduct. - Drive initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, re-prioritize tasks for effectiveness, and lead the design and implementation of a tactical plan for your capability area. - Set and execute tactical plans and objectives related to Identifying Information Assets and their Threats and ensure yearly goal achievement. - Apply deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice across different disciplines to enhance security measures. - Ensure alignment of your capability area with Booking.com's 5 Qs and establish metrics for performance evaluation. - Drive continuous improvement in cost optimization and operational excellence within your capability area. - Monitor control effectiveness, manage incidents and crises effectively, and minimize their impact on the business. - Manage a team of various crafts to deliver capabilities to the business effectively.
