Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager within the Grid Automation Business Line in the India region at our organization, your primary role is to manage the Engineering and Technical aspects of substation protection and automation projects. Reporting to the Operating Unit Manager, your goal is to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service throughout all project stages. Your responsibilities include setting clear objectives and deliverables for the engineering team in alignment with company goals. You will define technical objectives, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor milestones to ensure project success. Risk assessment and mitigation, supervision of design processes, and adherence to regulations and standards are crucial aspects of your role. You will oversee the harmonious interaction between team members, project managers, Testing Engineers, clients, and partners. Managing project budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining efficient operations within the engineering team are also key responsibilities. Encouraging the use of new technologies for improved efficiency, negotiating contracts with clients and suppliers, and ensuring engineering quality assurance are part of your duties. Participation in the recruitment process, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a positive team environment are essential for productivity and career development within the Engineering teams. To be successful in this role, you should possess a degree in BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, along with 15 to 20 years of experience as an Engineering Manager in Electrical power/Automation Engineering. Knowledge of SAP system and the ability to work collaboratively towards achieving business KPIs are desirable qualities.
