Engineering Manager

As a Technical Manager at FlocCare, you will play a crucial role in leading our engineering organization focused on AI-powered healthcare solutions. Your responsibilities will involve managing a diverse team of AI Engineers, DevOps, and Full-stack Developers, ensuring technical delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. **Role Overview:** In this role, you will directly manage three pods consisting of AI/ML, DevOps, and Full-stack development teams. Your key responsibilities will include recruiting top engineering talent, setting growth paths and performance goals, and creating a culture of accountability and innovation within the team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Directly manage 3 pods: AI/ML, DevOps, and Full-stack development teams. - Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent; set growth paths and performance goals. - Create a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. - Conduct regular 1:1s, feedback sessions, and skill development plans. - Translate product roadmaps into sprint plans with clear technical outcomes. - Drive release velocity, improve deployment frequency, and reduce lead time for changes. - Establish and track KPIs. - Ensure cross-team alignment with product managers, designers, and compliance leads. **Qualifications Required:** - 3-4 years of experience in engineering team leadership roles. - Familiarity with AI/ML production systems: model serving, RAG, vector DBs, monitoring. - Proven track record managing multi-pod engineering teams. - Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills. In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will have the opportunity to work on defining engineering strategy, evaluating new technologies for adoption, and representing engineering in customer or partner discussions as needed. Your role will also involve working closely with leadership to define budgets, hiring plans, and ensuring alignment with business goals. If you have a background in healthcare tech, experience with Python, React, or Neo4j, and a track record of leading rapid scale-ups in high-growth startups, it would be considered a plus.
