Engineering Manager

Located in Chennai, AppGlide is led by a team of IIT & IIM alumni. We are seeking a Python Engineering Manager to join our customer's solutions engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers to deploy solutions across global customer deployments. Our client offers an industry-leading AIOps platform designed to provide instant, real-time actionable insights for managing multi-domain network and application infrastructures. By consolidating multiple data sources into a user-friendly platform, IT teams can troubleshoot network issues efficiently, minimize downtime, reduce MTTR, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have: - 2+ years of experience in managing and hiring engineers on teams with 5-10 reports, and a total of 6+ years in fast-paced engineering roles. - Familiarity with technologies such as Django, Python, React, Postgres, SQL, AWS, GCP, RDS, Docker, and Kubernetes. - A degree in Computer Science/Information Technology. - Experience in managing high-performance teams in startup-like environments. - Proficiency in planning team roadmaps and goals as a product-minded engineering leader. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive successful business outcomes. - Solid understanding of architecture, design, and data flow in applications for effective script design. - Capability to develop, debug, and maintain automation scripts/ code independently. Responsibilities include: - Expertise in the customer's operational analytics solution for networks, applications & security workflows. - Hands-on deployment of the product to meet customer requirements. - Collaboration with the engineering team on deployment plans for POC and leading to the completion of deployment. - Enhancing product features and quality through enhancement proposals and customer reviews.
