**Job Description:** **Role Overview:** As a part of SOL-X, you will drive the system architecture and scale by designing and evolving the architecture of the multi-product platform. You will lead the technical delivery of core products, define and execute the technical roadmap, build and lead a high-performance engineering team, lead complex cross-functional projects, ensure engineering operational excellence, advance AI and data strategy, and be a technology evangelist. **Key Responsibilities:** - Drive System Architecture & Scale: Design and evolve the architecture of the multi-product platform using a modern microservices architecture. - Own Product Delivery End-to-End: Lead the technical delivery of core products ensuring high-quality, secure, and performant systems. - Define and Execute the Technical Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the roadmap and align technical strategy with business goals. - Build and Lead a High-Performance Engineering Team: Grow and mentor a team of engineers, managers, and architects. - Lead Complex Cross-Functional Projects: Oversee the implementation of large-scale projects across various domains. - Ensure Engineering Operational Excellence: Establish and improve engineering best practices around development lifecycle, DevOps, observability, and security. - Advance AI and Data Strategy: Collaborate with Data Science and Product teams to deploy and evolve AI/ML capabilities. - Be a Technology Evangelist: Represent engineering across internal and external forums and champion the mission of the company. **Qualifications Required:** - 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering with at least 4 years leading engineering teams. - Strong experience with system architecture, distributed systems, and scalable backend development. - Deep technical expertise in Java, Node.js, React, GraphQL, Kafka, and NoSQL databases. - Experience with IoT protocols, cloud platforms, containerization, and DevOps practices. - Familiarity with edge computing, time-series data, and real-time analytics. - Strong understanding of AI/ML integration into product workflows. - Exposure to maritime safety use cases is a strong plus. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with a passion for safety, wellbeing, and sustainability technologies.
