Roles and Responsibilities

• Customs Classification:

  Analyze the technical details (working principle, functional parameters, materials) of Atlas Copco parts/products and assign the correct

  HS (Harmonized System) Code

  as per European, Indian, USA, Chinese Customs, and

  WTO guidelines

  .

• Interpretation Rules:

  Understand the logic behind

  The General Rules for the Interpretation (GRI)

  of the Harmonized System.

• Trade Compliance:

  Execute requests for HS code classification and

  screening of DU (Dual Use) codes

  as per WTO guidelines.

• Reporting & Communication:

  Provide daily reports to service centres in Belgium, USA, India, and other global Atlas Copco centres. Communicate daily with global customers to resolve technical queries raised by customs authorities.

• Mentorship:

  Mentor fellow colleagues within the team.

Experience / Knowledge Requirements

• Technical Basics:

  Clear understanding of

  mechanical & electrical engineering basics

  .

• Reading/Analysis:

  Able to read and understand

  engineering drawings

  , the structure of a

  Bill of Material (BOM)

  , and supplier catalogues.

• Compliance Knowledge:

  Very good knowledge and experience in internet navigation and research to find specific part/product information quickly.

  Knowledge of BPCS / ERP / SAP is a plus.

• Skills:

  Proficiency in verbal & written English, MS Office (especially

  MS Excel

  ), strong attention to detail, decision-making aptitude, and comfort working with large data sets.

Educational Requirements

• B.E. graduate

  with

  2-3 years of experience

  in a relevant field.
