As a Automation Project Manager in the R&D functional areas, you will be responsible for managing the automation projects and operational enhancement initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, implementing, configuring & testing automation systems, applications & tools - Developing project proposals, detailed design specifications, and technical recommendations - Contributing to validations & certifications during factory and site acceptance testing - Coordinating with engineering partners during project designing and execution stages - Troubleshooting user issues related to data acquisition, tag configuration, and alert monitoring - Monitoring performance and conducting periodic audits for system uptime availability - Reviewing & updating SOPs, SMPs, procedures and guidelines documentation - Conducting user awareness & trainings for system adoption - Ensuring periodic back-ups of process data, databases & system configurations - Monitoring & auditing compliance with site HSE procedures and Information security requirements Qualifications required for this role include: - B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, or Biotechnology from a reputed institute - 6-8 years of experience in laboratory informatics, data engineering, database administration, or application development - Desirable 3-4 years of experience as a research data scientist in a scientific or research organization Skills and competencies needed for this role: - Strong aptitude towards information, communication, and network technology - In-depth knowledge of Laboratory informatics, SQL, and scientific databases - Proficiency in computer science fundamentals and general purpose programming languages - Ability to design, construct, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems - Experience in building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and predictive models - Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and libraries - Strong analytical skills, self-starter attitude, and a passion for excellence - Ability to apply innovative ideas in problem-solving with reasoning skills - Team player with strong coordination and communication skills This job requires a candidate who can effectively manage automation projects, contribute to the design and implementation of automation systems, and ensure the smooth functioning of data management processes.
