Engineer / Senior Engineer - EEI

Job Purpose

To ensure smooth and reliable operation of electrical, electronic and instrumentation systems across production lines by carrying out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance during the assigned shift, thereby supporting uninterrupted tyre manufacturing operations, safety compliance and productivity targets.

Role & responsibilities

1. Shift Operations & Maintenance Monitor and maintain electrical & instrumentation systems across plant sections such as:

Mixing

Extrusion / Stock Preparation

Calendar / Bead Preparation

Tyre Building

Curing / Press Shop

Utility & Compressors

2. Attend breakdowns promptly and minimize MTTR.

Ensure availability of HT/LT panels, MCCs, VFDs, DBs, UPS systems.

Perform troubleshooting of:

Drives & PLC-controlled machines

SCADA & HMI-based systems

PLC I/O, sensors, encoders, transducers

Industrial networking / communication issues

3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Execute preventive maintenance schedules for:

Electrical distribution systems

Instrumentation & control loops

PLC / DCS / VFD panels

Maintain machine history & breakdown records.

Support reliability improvement initiatives MTBF, RCA, Kaizen, TPM activities.

4. Safety, Compliance & Audits

Ensure adherence to plant electrical safety standards.

Monitor compliance with statutory & ISO systems:

Electrical load management

LOTO implementation

Earthing & insulation system checks

Support energy conservation initiatives.

Technical Skills Required

Strong knowledge of:

HT/LT power systems, switchgear & transformers

PLC, SCADA, VFD, Servo Drives

Siemens / Allen Bradley / Mitsubishi PLCs

Instrumentation & automation systems

Control panels, relays, contactors, circuit protection

Hands-on experience in breakdown troubleshooting.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience as Shift Engineer in:

Tyre manufacturing industry experience in TBR / PCR / MCR tyre plants preferred.
