Job Description

Role Overview: As an Engineer Production, your primary responsibility will be to execute the production plan efficiently by utilizing resources such as manpower and machinery in alignment with the Material Planning team. You will work closely with the cross-functional team (CFT) to achieve key performance indicators related to Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Cost, and Productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Meet the production plan consistently and ensure schedule adherence. - Focus on maintaining and improving safety systems on the shop floor. - Conduct daily management (DM) meetings to review Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity metrics with the site leadership. - Maintain the 5S system on the shop floor. - Ensure adherence to Quality standards. - Monitor production and assembling processes. - Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and take necessary actions. - Manage the daily production plan using hourly scorecards and take end-to-end ownership of the work area. - Take action on day-to-day failures identified in the DM board at the shop floor level. - Drive productivity improvement through process enhancements. - Plan for the availability of production consumables, fixtures, and optimize costs. - Ensure shop floor adherence to processes and address any audit findings promptly. - Plan and execute shift operations effectively. - Mentor operators and manage their performance. - Ensure valid Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), process training, and validation for operators by coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams. - Manage crises related to absenteeism and machine failures. - Communicate management inputs effectively to the operators. - Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow on the shop floor. - Post finished goods against production orders in SAP. - Be flexible to work across 3 shifts when required. Qualifications Required: - Degree in Engineering or related field. - Prior experience in production planning and execution. - Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality standards. - Ability to lead a team and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Proficiency in SAP or similar production management software is a plus. - Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
