Job Description

Requirements :

  1. Qualification:
    B.E. (Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering)
  2. Passion in Fabrication, Welding, and spending time on the shop floor
  3. ***Minimum Experience of 2 Years in Heavy Fabrication***

    (structure, pressure vessels, heat exchangers) industry (Candidates with experience only in automotive small components will not be selected).
  4. Welding

    : Knowledge of working with Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel welding with focus on welding quality will be preferred. Candidates with knowledge of WPS will be preferred.
  5. Painting

    : Knowledge of spray painting and ISO 12944 will be preferred.
  6. Good proficiency in writing grammatically correct emails and spoken English. Able to clearly communicate with the team as well as customers.

* Previous experience in a similar field (Industrial Noise Control) will be preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Manufacturing (Fabrication & Assembly) :

  1. Managing Fabrication activities and a team of 2-3 engineers and 30-40 workers efficiently.
  2. Assigning work to subordinates and reporting daily output to the Project Manager.
  3. Maintaining & improving quality of production. Tracking & continuous improvement in process time, suggesting ideas for improvement in processes.
  4. Efficiently managing the human resource (workers) & maintaining high morale among team members.
  5. Supervising the Shop-floor and ensuring that production is being carried out efficiently.
  6. Offering the product for internal inspections and ensuring that product meets the highest quality standards specifically for welding, finishing and painting.
  7. Additional Responsibilities: Customer Visits for installation / After-Sales Support (Within or outside India), Machinery Maintenance, Local Procurement, etc.
  8. Machinery Maintenance of small tools and machinery. Coordinating with repair-vendors and ensuring that the shop-floor and backup tools and machinery are operational.

Project Coordination:

  1. Coordination and communication with all involved vendors, team-members and customers.
  2. Communicating with customers for getting project related documents approved, and for submission of Project related documents (Quality reports, Material TCs, Dispatch Documents, etc.
  3. Updating the progress status of all activities and assigned tasks on Smart-Task (Project Management platform).
