This position involves working withinthe MEP Design & Engineering Team at Axium GlobalDelivery Centre inAndheri, Mumbai. The team consists of skilled professionals, including mechanical,electrical and plumbing engineers with varied experience. The senior engineer wouldrequire taking on a leadership role with the potential of growing a teamreporting to them and will be working directly with leading MEP designconsulting firms from the UK, USA, Australia and the UAE on flagship projects
KeyRoles and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilityfor the overall design of Plumbing & fire protection systems &deliverables, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development,Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ,Schedules and Drawings)
- Abilityto design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes ofpractice for various type of buildings based on client brief & guidelines
- Abilityto work independently on various calculations and layouts/schematic mark-ups asper project requirements
- Havingregular communication with the client and taking on design responsibilities onproject types like commercial, residential, retail, laboratories &hospitals.
- Understandingcodes & standards local to project location and utilizing the latest &industry leading software
- Abilityto independently communicate with Clients in written and spoken English
- Abilityto independently create Plumbing & fire protection design mark-ups andperform calculations
- Abilityto mentor and assist Junior Engineers
- Abilityto get trained on and work on newer Design Software
- Ability to undertakeoffshore visit to client office if required for detailed training and one toone session
Qualificationand Experience Required:
- BE/BTech/ME/MTech degree in mechanicalor civil engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum5 years of experience in designing of Plumbing & Fire Protection systemsfor commercial, retail, hospital and residential projects
- Experiencein design of water supply, sewerage and drainage system including necessarycalculations. Design of comprehensive underground sewerage and storm watersystems. Sizing and selecting of location for STP & water tanks. Detaildrawing layout for internal & external water and drainage system
- Experiencein fire protection systems design of sprinklers, external & internalhydrant system, fire pump & tank systems design, hydraulic calculations
- Experienceof having worked on AutoCAD for preparing Design layouts
- Experienceof using MS Office
- Provenexperience of having successfully managed Client communication.
