Job Description

The Plumbing and Firefighting Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive plumbing andfirefighting systems for a variety of building projects. The role will involvecollaborating with architects, structural engineers and other disciplines todevelop efficient and effective design solutions that ensure health, safety andcompliance with local standards and regulations

This position involves working withinthe MEP Design & Engineering Team at Axium GlobalDelivery Centre inAndheri, Mumbai. The team consists of skilled professionals, including mechanical,electrical and plumbing engineers with varied experience. The engineer will be responsiblefor designing, implementing and overseeing the designing of plumbing and fireprotection systems in various construction projects.

KeyRoles and Responsibilities:

Responsibilityfor the overall design of plumbing & fire protection systems &deliverables, including concept design, schematic design, design development, tender Design / documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ,Schedules and Drawings)

Collaboratewith architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers and other designprofessionals to ensure cohesive project planning and execution

Experiencein fire protection systems design of sprinklers, external and internal hydrantsystem, fire pump & tank systems design, hydraulic calculations

Experiencein design of water supply, sewerage and drainage system including necessarycalculations. Design of comprehensive underground sewerage and storm watersystems. Sizing and selecting of location for STP & water tanks. Detaildrawing layout for internal & external water and drainage system

Abilityto design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes ofpractice for various types of buildings based on client brief & guidelines

Preparecomprehensive design documentation including drawings, calculations, technicalspecifications and reports

Abilityto work independently on various calculations and layouts/schematic mark-ups asper project requirements

Understandingcodes & standards local to project location and utilizing the latest &industry leading software

Abilityto independently create Plumbing & fire protection design mark-ups andperform calculations

Trackproject progress and provide regular updates to project managers andstakeholders

Qualificationand Experience Required:

BE/BTech/ME/MTech degree in mechanicalor civil engineering or a related technical field

Minimum4 years of experience in designing of, Plumbing & Fire Protection systemsfor commercial, retail, hospital and residential projects

Experienceof having worked on AutoCAD for preparing Design layouts

Experienceof using MS Office

Compensation:
