Engineer - Optics

As an R&D Engineer in the Optic department at Valeo, you will be responsible for Optical Studies, ensuring Optic feasibility and proposing technical solutions to enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of our offers. Your role will involve participating in product design, designing optical components, and overseeing mock-up realization while adhering to VALEO standards of quality. Additionally, you will be accountable for characterizing mock-ups or initial samples to ensure conformity to specifications and customer needs, particularly in terms of quality and cost. Your responsibilities will also include conducting technical presentations to customers and reporting your actions to the optic manager or project manager. Other key actions you will take include conducting tech watch analysis related to your domain of expertise, providing expert assistance on projects, contributing innovative solutions in creativity meetings that may lead to patents, and suggesting developments within the Laboratory to enhance service efficiency. You may also supervise a trainee within your field of expertise or through service-specific studies. Furthermore, you will apply Environment Safety and Security procedures and practices, identifying potential risks and managing associated action plans for your activities and those of subcontractors. Qualifications: - Master degree or Engineering degree - 2-4 years of experience - Experience in conducting optical feasibility, optics surface, prototype, mockup of passenger car and 2-wheeler segment - Projects experience in high beam, low beam, tails, stop backup, turn, and fog functions with LED or reflector and bulb Joining Valeo means becoming part of one of the largest global innovative companies, with a team of over 20,000 engineers dedicated to Research & Development.
