As an R&D Engineer in the Optic department at Valeo, you will play a crucial role in advancing optical studies and ensuring the feasibility of optical solutions. Your responsibilities will include proposing technical strategies to enhance the competitiveness of our offerings, contributing to product design, and overseeing the development of optical components. Additionally, you will be accountable for creating mock-ups that align with Valeo's quality standards and meeting specified deadlines. In this role, you will conduct thorough evaluations of mock-ups and initial samples to ensure compliance with specifications, as well as maintain alignment with customer requirements, particularly in terms of quality and cost. Your duties will also involve delivering successful technical presentations to clients and providing regular updates to your optic manager or project manager on your progress and outcomes. To excel in this position, you should hold a Master's or Engineering degree, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience in optical feasibility studies, optics surface design, and the development of prototypes and mock-ups for both passenger cars and two-wheeler segments. Your project background should include working on various lighting functions such as high beam, low beam, tails, stop backup, turn, and fog functions using LED or reflector and bulb technologies. At Valeo, we take pride in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where international collaboration is highly valued.
