Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and control ETP units including primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment systems.
  
• Ensure efficient functioning of mechanical, chemical, and biological processes.
  
• Perform daily analysis of inlet and outlet effluent parameters (pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, etc.).
  
• Maintain proper records of effluent analysis, chemical consumption, maintenance, and operational logs.
  
• Ensure all discharges meet environmental compliance standards set by CPCB/SPCB.
  
• Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance of ETP equipment such as pumps, blowers, clarifiers, aerators, filters, etc.
  
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective measures to avoid downtime or regulatory breaches.
  
• Manage and control inventory of chemicals and spare parts used in the ETP.
  
• Liaise with pollution control board officials for audits, inspections, and documentation.
  
• Train and supervise operators and helpers for safe and efficient plant operation.
  
• Ensure safety standards are followed while handling effluents and chemicals.
  

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in ETP/STP operations in an industrial setup.

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of ETP/STP processes: physical, chemical, and biological treatment.
  
• Knowledge of environmental laws, wastewater norms, and pollution control board guidelines.
  
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and lead small teams.
  
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
