Job Description

As an Engineer I in Electrical & Electronics Engineering IX, you will be responsible for designing, selecting components, creating electrical drawings, testing, and validating new products related to Power Electronics, UPS Systems, Static Switches, and Power Distribution Units (PDU). Your role will involve working on the design-to-deployment lifecycle, utilizing strong problem-solving skills, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design, analyze, and validate electrical systems for UPS, Static Switches, and PDUs. - Select suitable electrical components ensuring cost-effectiveness, reliability, and compliance with standards. - Prepare and review schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical layout drawings. - Support in PCB/Control board interface design with electronics and mechanical teams. - Define and develop test plans, test procedures, and validation protocols for new products. - Conduct initial product testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. - Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards such as IEC, IS, UL, and CE. - Document test results and provide feedback for design improvements. - Work closely with cross-functional teams during product development. - Support prototype development, pilot builds, and production handover. - Participate in design reviews, technical audits, and customer inspections when required. - Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and design records. - Ensure designs meet international standards and certification requirements. - Contribute to Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, cost optimization, and vendor evaluation. Qualifications: Required/ Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in electrical / Electronics or technology field with strong technical competencies. Additional / Preferred Qualifications: - 2-5 years of experience in the UPS / Power Electronics industry. - Good knowledge of Power Electronics, UPS systems, Static Switches, PDUs. - Experience in electrical component selection and sizing. - Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, CREO, Solid-Edge, or any electrical CAD tools. - Understanding of PCB interface, wiring harness, and busbar design. - Knowledge of testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, load banks, etc. - Familiarity with international standards like IEC, IS, UL, CE, RoHS, EMC/EMI. You are not required to meet any physical or environmental requirements for this role. Time travel may be needed occasionally, approximately 30%-40% of the time.,
