Engineer - Design Engineering

Role Overview: As a designer at Lennox, you will have the opportunity to create pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Your main responsibilities will revolve around designing Refrigeration and Air conditioning products while considering various factors such as Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Regulatory Compliance, CODE requirements, and safety. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless transition of products from design to manufacturing. Your role will also involve participating in various design-related activities like DFMEA, PPAPs, DFMA, and RCFA. Key Responsibilities: - Design Refrigeration and Air conditioning products, taking into account Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Regulatory Compliance, CODE requirements, and safety. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Marketing, Sourcing, Testing, etc.) to facilitate the product development process. - Participate in DFMEA, PPAPs, DFMA, and RCFA activities as required. - Review 2D/3D designs to ensure adherence to standards and best practices. - Lead and coordinate design reviews, seeking approvals from all relevant cross-functional teams. - Develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced design methodologies and techniques. - Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders. - Contribute design modifications to enhance the quality and functionality of the product. - Ensure that drawings encompass all design features and maintain the product style. - Display a high degree of flexibility and the ability to drive design activities with limited supervision. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Proficiency in SolarEdge/Teamcenter software techniques and tools, with experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing including tooling and fixtures. - Familiarity with PLM systems such as SAP and Teamcenter. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Knowledge of Refrigeration is considered a plus.,
