Job Description

Role Overview: As a member of the Support organization at Oracle, your primary focus will be to provide post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base. You will act as an advocate for customer needs, resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means. Additionally, you will address technical questions related to the use of and troubleshooting for Oracle's Electronic Support Services. Serving as a primary point of contact for customers, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships with Support and providing guidance to both customers and internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues. Key Responsibilities: - Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience as an Oracle Database engineer/Core DBA. - Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Oracle Database Architecture, including proficiency in the latest versions such as Oracle 12c and 19c. - Exhibit extensive knowledge and practical troubleshooting experience in various areas, including RAC, ASM, Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical), and DG Broker. - Handle complex database recovery scenarios efficiently. - Troubleshoot diverse installation and patching issues effectively. - Experience working with Oracle engineered systems like Exadata, Exalogic, ZDLRA, and ZFS. - Proficiency in Oracle Golden Gate. - Familiarity and good understanding of Cloud technologies, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI/ExaCC), AWS, and MS Azure (preferred). - Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, think quickly, and remain composed during stressful situations. - Quickly grasp complex technical issues and provide solutions. - Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts as part of a 24x7 rotation, and weekends. - Display a strong appetite for learning new technologies (such as OCI/ExaCC) and continually enhancing technical skills. - Require a good academic background and Oracle Certifications are mandatory for this role.
