Job Description

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as technical inquiries regarding the use of and fix for our Electronic Support Services. You will be a main point of contact for customers, responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues. You should possess around 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database engineer/Core DBA with a clear understanding of Oracle Database Architecture, including the latest versions of Oracle 12c & 19c. Your knowledge and experience should extend to areas such as RAC, ASM, Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical), and DG Broker. Experience in handling database recovery scenarios, solving various installation and patching issues, as well as exposure and good knowledge in Cloud technologies like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI/ExaCC), AWS, and MS Azure will be an added advantage. Moreover, your ability to work under pressure, quick thinking, and remaining calm during stressful situations are crucial. You should have the capability to quickly grasp complex technical issues, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be willing to work in shifts (including night shifts as part of a 24X7 rota) and on weekends. An appetite to learn new technologies and constantly improve technical skills is expected, along with a good academic background and Oracle Certifications.
