Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, architect, and develop Android-based solutions from concept to deployment for in-vehicle connectivity systems
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Vehicle System Leads, and other stakeholders to align on product strategy and execution
Write and manage product requirements using tools such as DOORS or JIRA; derive epics and user stories for Agile teams
Ensure performance, reliability, and responsiveness of Android applications
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, delivering timely resolutions
Contribute to middleware development including services, AIDL, content providers, car network/service layers, and broadcast receivers
Work closely with suppliers and partners to integrate solutions and drive technical alignment

Required Skills and Experience

3-6 years of experience in software development within the automotive domain
Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on coding and debugging experience in Android and C/C++
Proficient in Android Automotive, Kotlin, Java, and C/C++
Strong understanding of Android middleware development
Hands-on experience with cloud messaging APIs and protocols like MQTT, HTTP
Experience working with Agile Scrum methodologies and Atlassian toolchains (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Excellent communication skills for collaboration across internal teams and external partners

Educational Qualifications

Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

Experience in Automotive Security or connected vehicle security standards
Familiarity with Test-Driven Development methodologies
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Git and modern version control practices
Exposure to infotainment or telematics solutions within the automotive industry
