Engineer Associate

As a Maintenance Technician at Marriott International, your role involves responding and attending to guest repair requests and communicating with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. It is essential to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines, carry equipment, and identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed - Communicate each day's activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards - Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and more - Perform various tasks including surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, light bulb replacement, and thorough cleanup - Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items - Program TV's, perform general housekeeping, and handle engineering-related inventory duties - Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work - Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external landscaping sprinklers - Display basic computer skills for scheduling and temperature changes Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent - Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting - Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus - Driver's License required At Marriott International, we are committed to providing equal opportunities and valuing the unique backgrounds of our associates.
