What you ll do: " Eaton s Product Stewardship and Sustainability team is looking for highly motivated indivisuals who is passionate about enviornmental accounting and has strong inclination towards Sustanability domain. The Engineer will be providing technical support for compliance (chemical regulations), life cycle assessment (LCA) and design for environment for Eaton s broad portfolio of Aerospace products. This work will help business across the enterprises solve regulations & enviornmental problems, support new & existing business through product compliance and create sustanability value propositions to gain additional business opportunities. " " Execute independently detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies as per ISO 14040 & 14044 to evaluate environmental impacts of Eaton Aerospace products. Support the product engineering teams on the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with the Aerospace product s lifecycle. Support in developing ecodesign tools and their implementation during new product introduction process. Compliance to affecting ecodesign-related regulations Understand customer requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate. Provide regular reports on development and support activities. Support Design-For-Environment activities in PROLaunch environment Interact with key customers/stakeholders in understanding current & upcoming sustainability trends and their relevance to our products " Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Enviornmental science or Chemical/Mechanical/ Electronics /Electricals engineering Bachelor s with 3-5 years experience or Masters with 1-3 years of progressive experience in the areas of Sustanability domain , Product or technology development for Industrial, Electrical/Electronics or Chemical products or process with a proven track record of solving critical business problems and providing technical solutions Skills: "1. Understands requirements related to ecodesign regulations and work with product teams to ensure compliance while releasing new products 2. Good to have -Working knowledge on REACH, RoHS, Prop65 and other applicable regulations and its impact on product and technology 3. Demonstrates LCA execution using modeling software like , Simapro, Gabi and contributes to Eaton s efforts on GHG baselining & product emission reduction strategies for electrical products with focus on to - a. Understands Product Category Rules/ Product Specific Rules b. Defines goal & scope of the study & working closely with product teams to get the required Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data c. Develops modular LCA s & creating library of Eaton standard components & processes d. Analyses the hot-sports and provide recommendations 4. Experience in supporting/leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required 5. Abreast of upcoming enviornmental regulations, trends, and methodologies 6. Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills" Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts
