Embedded Software Manager

You will be responsible for managing a team of embedded software developers. This will involve leading the design, development, review, and maintenance of embedded software systems. As a leader, you will hire, develop, and mentor embedded software engineers. Collaboration is key as you will work with cross-functional hardware, software, and testing teams. Your role will require providing technical leadership by contributing to architecture and design discussions, implementing best practices, and ensuring the highest quality deliverables from the team. You will oversee all aspects of embedded software, including pre-development, design prototyping, testing, validation, and maintenance. Technical guidance will be a part of your responsibilities as you contribute to design discussions, drive best practices, and provide mentoring to the team. Defect management is crucial, and you will implement defect tracking and management processes. Project management skills are essential as you will need to plan and execute multiple project requirements with changing priorities. Operational excellence of the team will be driven by you through mechanisms and process improvement. You will participate in design reviews and project meetings to ensure alignment and progress. Experience with software tools such as repository management (Git/Subversion), Jira, static analysis, etc., will be beneficial. Continuous learning is encouraged, and you are expected to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded development. Specifically, experience in the Embedded IoT domain for at least 5 years is required. Qualifications: - Academic background in B.E. in Electronics / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering - Total of 10+ years of experience with at least 3+ years in engineering team management and 3+ years in designing or architecting systems - Skills in understanding Linux Kernel, drivers, BSP, and IO interfaces.,
