Job Title: Electrician Technician

Role Overview

The Electrician Technician will be responsible for executing preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for all electrical and instrumentation systems in the laminates manufacturing unit. The role demands hands-on expertise in electrical wiring, PLC systems, VFDs, sensors, and control equipment, ensuring uninterrupted plant operations with strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Maintenance

• Perform

  preventive and breakdown maintenance

  of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Work on

  PLC hardware

  ,

  VFDs

  ,

  photo cells

  ,

  limit switches

  ,

  proximity switches

  , and various

  sensor systems

  (SMPS, UPS, etc.).
• Handle

  electric motors

  ,

  DOL/star-delta starters

  ,

  power distribution systems

  , and

  control wiring

  .
• Read and interpret

  electrical and control drawings

  , diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions effectively.
• Manage

  power and control cabling

  , including

  lugs

  ,

  glands

  ,

  connectors

  ,

  lighting fittings

  , and circuits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot

  temperature sensors (RTD/Thermocouple)

  ,

  controllers

  ,

  flow meters

  , and other instrumentation devices (LT/PT/TT/DPT).

Operations & Documentation

• Execute daily and shift duties as per maintenance plans and schedules.
• Maintain accurate

  logbooks, checklists, and shift records

  .
• Guide and supervise

  helpers or junior staff

  assigned during maintenance activities.
• Support

  Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives

  within the department.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with

  Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

  policies and statutory requirements.
• Strictly adhere to

  PPE usage

  ,

  LOTO (Lockout-Tagout)

  procedures, and

  work permit systems

• Ensure proper

  fencing and safeguarding

  of outdoor motors and electrical equipment as per company guidelines.
• Participate in

  safety awareness and training programs

  related to occupational risk and quality systems.

• Provide high-quality, value-added services to internal customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain professionalism, respect, and courtesy in all communications and support requests.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve maintenance and production goals.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• ITI in Electrician Trade

  or

  Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

• Electrician Technician:

  35 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance

• Senior Electrician Technician:

  5–8 years of experience in similar roles

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of

  electrical circuits

• Ability to read

  schematics and technical drawings

• Proficiency in
