Job Specifications / Competencies

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (DME – Electrical)Experience: Minimum 5 years in plant maintenance, preferably in a forging industry environment.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of PLC systems and troubleshooting.Sound understanding of forging equipment (presses, induction billet heating systems).Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.Knowledge of IATF documentation and maintenance record management.Familiar with MTBF / MTTR monitoring tools and methodologies.Awareness of ENMS and EOHS standards.

Strong leadership and team-handling skills.Analytical and problem-solving ability.Focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Effective communication and coordination skills.

Performance Measures

Achievement of targeted equipment uptime and reduction in breakdowns.Accuracy and timeliness in maintaining IATF documentation.Improvement in MTBF / MTTR ratios.Audit compliance (IATF, ENMS, EOHS).Cost control on spares and maintenance activities.
