Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical estimations, quantity take-offs, and cost analyses for projects of varying scale. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency in estimation software to deliver precise and competitive project costings.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate electrical estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs including light fittings, switches, sockets, distribution boards (DBs), conduits, cables, trays, and trunking.
• Utilize estimation software such as ground Plan, PlanSwift and Bluebeam to ensure precise and efficient measurements.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to prepare costings based on provided price lists.
• Develop customized estimation solutions as per specific client or project requirements.
• Prepare and submit complete tender documentation, including BOQs (Bills of Quantities), cost breakdowns, and supporting analysis.
• Ensure all estimates align with industry standards, company guidelines, and project deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to validate accuracy and feasibility of estimates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in construction, contracting, or consulting sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and materials.
• Proficiency in estimation and take-off software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
