Electrical Engineer

Department: MEP / Electrical

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing electrical systems within MEP projects of a mechanical construction company. The role requires close coordination with mechanical, civil, and plumbing teams to ensure efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement electrical systems for construction projects in line with project specifications and standards.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment such as panels, transformers, cabling, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical and civil teams for integrated MEP works.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Liaise with vendors, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Handle troubleshooting and resolution of electrical issues on-site.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineer
• 2-5 years of experience in electrical works within MEP or mechanical construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant electrical design tools.
• Knowledge of national and international electrical standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
