Electrical Engineer for solar projects

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role involves working closely with project managers, site engineers, and clients to ensure the successful execution of solar projects in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement electrical layouts for solar PV systems (rooftop and ground-mounted).

Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and load calculations.

Supervise installation, wiring, and commissioning of solar power plants.

Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

Troubleshoot, test, and perform preventive maintenance of solar systems.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and government bodies for approvals and inspections.

Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and as-built drawings.

Stay updated with emerging solar technologies, inverters, batteries, and related components.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering /ITI ELECTRICAL or a related field.

Knowledge of electrical design tools, AutoCAD, PVsyst, or equivalent software.

Familiarity with national and international electrical codes (IEC, NEC, IS standards).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or in a team.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
