DC electrical layouts
for solar PV systems, including
module stringing, combiner box configuration
, and
DC cable routing
.
Prepare
Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics
, and other design documents.
Perform
string sizing, voltage drop analysis
, and
DC loss calculations
.
Analyze site-specific constraints like
terrain, shading, and solar irradiation
for optimal system layout.
Collaborate with
civil, structural, and AC electrical teams
for integrated project design.
Review technical specifications for
PV modules, inverters
, and
BOS components
.
Prepare and verify
Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
and other technical documentation for procurement and execution.
Ensure all designs comply with
IEC, NEC, IS
, and other
industry standards
.
Participate in
design optimization
and
value engineering
initiatives.
Provide engineering support during
execution, testing
, and
commissioning
phases.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree
in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5–12 years
of experience in
DC design
for
utility-scale
or
C&I solar PV projects
.
Proficient in
AutoCAD, ETAP, PVsyst
, and other electrical simulation/design tools.
Strong grasp of
PV module characteristics
, including
IV curves
and
system behavior
.
Knowledge of standards like
IEC 62548, NEC 690
, and relevant Indian codes.
Excellent
technical documentation
and
report writing
abilities.
Ability to work on multiple projects under
tight deadlines
.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with
bifacial modules
,
string inverters
, or
DC-coupled storage systems
.
Understanding of
SCADA and monitoring
system integration.
Exposure to
permitting
and
interconnection
processes with utilities and regulators.
