Job Purpose

To ensure smooth operation of all electrical systems, machinery, and utilities in the FMCG plant by performing preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Maintenance

• Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, panels, wiring, and equipment.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of motors, conveyors, mixers, filling & packing machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize production downtime.

2. Machine & Production Support

• Provide electrical support during machine breakdowns and changeovers.
• Assist in commissioning and installation of new machinery.
• Maintain electrical components such as relays, contactors, sensors, VFDs, and PLC panels (basic level).

3. Power & Utility Management

• Operate and maintain electrical panels, MCCs, DBs.
• Handle power supply systems including transformers, DG sets, UPS, and stabilizers.
• Ensure proper earthing, grounding, and load balancing.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow electrical safety rules, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
• Use proper PPE during work.
• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Electrical Inspector norms, and internal audits.
• Support safety drills and emergency situations.

5. Preventive Maintenance & Documentation

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance as per plan.
• Maintain daily logbooks, breakdown records, and maintenance reports.
• Monitor electrical spare parts and inform for replenishment.

6. Housekeeping & GMP

• Maintain cleanliness of electrical panels and work areas.
• Follow 5S, GMP, and hygiene practices as required in FMCG plants.
• Ensure proper labeling and identification of electrical systems.

7. Team Coordination

• Coordinate with production, mechanical, and QA teams.
• Guide helpers or junior electricians when assigned.

Skills & Competencies

• Industrial electrical wiring and panel knowledge
• Fault finding and troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of PLC & automation (preferred)
• Understanding of GMP & safety standards
• Ability to work in shifts

Qualification & Experience

• Qualification: ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 1–5 years in FMCG / manufacturing industry preferred

Working Conditions

• Emergency and breakdown attendance required

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
