Electrical Engineer

About the role:

Electrical Engineer should be well-versed in design of offshore/marine/subsea Power systems, analyses, Instrumentation /Control calculations, procedures and requirements

Knowledge of any industry specific ETAPMATLAB/PLC tools will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed and conceptual design packages including scope of work, drawings, calculations, purchase requisitions for marine & oil and gas environments.
• Knowledge of classification rules & requirements, statutory regulations, marine safety & technical codes and other relevant engineering standards applicable to ships/Offshore
• Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems (Electrical Single Line diagrams, Electrical Load Balance, Short Circuit calculation and Selectivity study) using ETAP
• Elaborate Detailed schematic circuit diagrams and panels lay-out
• Design of control and monitoring system: establishing of safety functions, preparing of various signals: digital/analog inputs/outputs
• Selection of specific type products and components (circuit breakers, lamps, pushbuttons, contactors, other various electrical and electronical components)
• Selection of cables (by application, type, cross-section)
• Design, installation and developing commissioning procedures of Field instrumentation and control system.
• Detailed engineering, procurement, construction assistance for Electrical and instrumentation system.
• Establishing cable routing and selection of cable penetrations (watertight, gas tight, fire safety) based on application
• Adapting solutions to specific requirements for installation of equipment in Hazardous Areas (hazardous area classification, temperature classes, cable types, penetrations, sensors, barriers, grounding)
• Coordination with all disciplines (Steel, Piping, HVAC, etc.)
• Flexibility to adapt to new tools), various software for automation, control and monitoring (PLCs)
• Knowledge in Installation, Termination, Pre commissioning and commissioning activities.

Candidate requirements:

• B.Tech (EEE/EC/E&I)
• Good knowledge of core design software tools and capabilities utilized within his/her discipline.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
