Title: Electrical Engineer / Sr. Design Engineer / Lead Engineer

Job Location: Chennai

Job Requirements

• Creation of Electrical schematics, Layout design & cable generation using SEE Electric software as per Standards. 
• Conversion of legacy machines Electrical schematics for new upgrades as per Standards. 
• Generation of part list and cable list from SEE Electric software. 
• Perform power calculation for Main disconnector switch, transformer, Circuit breakers & cabinet thermal calculation. 
• Should be able to select breakers, Sensors, Drives, motors, safety devices according to the required safety Pl level. 
• Perform replacement of obsolete electrical parts by maintaining Form, Fit and Functions of the existing design of the machines 
• Perform document creation, Revision, Releasing in Team Center software. 
• Support the team for RFQ and Execution.  
• Conduct Kick off meeting with design team and relevant stakeholders of the project. 
• Perform self-quality checks and Team QC ensure accuracy and consistency in all deliveries 
• Excellent oral & written English communication. 
• Proficiency in French will be added advantage. 
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with global engineers, mentoring the team on effective communication. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills, providing guidance and support. 
• Ability to manage project timelines and ensure timely delivery, mentoring the team on project management. 
• Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, leading and mentoring the team. 
• Effective in executing projects with a small team, ensuring high-quality outcomes, providing leadership and mentorship. 

Work Experience

• Strong Knowledge of Electrical Standards such as IEC 60617, IEC 61439-1, -2 compliance, IEC 61508 / 61511 Safety Integrity level. 
• Knowledge of Pneumatic symbols 
• Must have Hands-on experience in Low voltage control panel design, Automation control Panel for SPM. 
• Experience in Concept design of Schematic architecture, Electrical design calculation. 
• Experience in Schematic, Single line drawing, Layout, Bill of material Part list & Cable list 
• Good understanding of global Electrical codes (IEC, UL, NEC, NFPA), electrical components, Sensors, PLC, Servo drives and motors. 
• Must have Knowledge of AB, Siemens PLCs and HMI. 
• Must have good knowledge in Microsoft office tools 
• Must have good knowledge in Electrical CAD/ EPLAN/SEE -electrical. 
• Excellent Problem solving and analytical skills with ability to understand and upgrade legacy machines.
