Job Title: Electrical Designer / Electrical Draftsman Department : Electrical Engineering Company : POWERCONZ PRIVATE LIMITED Location : PAN INDIA Job Summary: The Electrical Designer / Electrical Draftsman will be responsible for designing, drafting, and preparing detailed electrical plans and layouts for electrical systems, components, and installations. This role requires the ability to create schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed drawings in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and proficiency in drafting software. Key Responsibilities: Design and Drafting : Create electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for electrical systems. Prepare electrical drawings (e.g., circuit diagrams, layout drawings, and wiring schematics). Ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and specifications (NEC, IEC, etc.). Produce construction documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), for electrical installations. Collaboration : Work closely with engineers and architects to coordinate electrical designs with other systems. Participate in design review meetings and assist in the resolution of any design issues. Provide technical support to project managers and construction teams during installation. System Specification and Calculation : Assist in specifying electrical components such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and lighting systems. Conduct load calculations and sizing of electrical equipment. Perform equipment selection and ensure compliance with the project requirements. Revisions and Updates : Revise and update drawings and designs as needed based on client feedback or changes in project scope. Ensure all design modifications are accurately reflected in the final documentation. Quality Control : Ensure accuracy and completeness of electrical designs and documentation. Conduct quality control checks on design drawings to confirm they meet project requirements. Technical Support : Provide technical support for the installation and commissioning of electrical systems. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues that arise during construction. Required Qualifications: Education : Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Drafting, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent technical certifications. Experience : 52 to 6 years of experience in electrical design, drafting, or a similar role. Familiarity with electrical system design and drafting standards. Skills : Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Knowledge of electrical design software and tools. Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, etc.). Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and contractors. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills (Optional) : Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling). Familiarity with energy-efficient designs and green building standards.
