Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with 3-4 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, installing, and managing electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial environments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications. Your key responsibilities will include designing electrical and instrumentation systems for new installations and modifications, complying with industry standards. You will also be involved in developing and implementing control strategies for various instrumentation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems. Furthermore, you will oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems, conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing maintenance to ensure system reliability. It will be essential to ensure that all designs and installations adhere to relevant safety standards and regulations such as IEC, ANSI, and OSHA. You will be expected to prepare detailed engineering reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively. Additionally, you will coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. You should have 3-4 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector. Technical skills required for this position include proficiency in designing and commissioning control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS), knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, NEC, and NFPA, understanding of process instrumentation, calibration, and loop checking, and experience in AutoCAD or similar design software. Soft skills like problem-solving, analytical skills, effective communication, team collaboration, and project management abilities are essential.
