Electrical and Instrumentation Designer

Job Title: Design Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)Location: Talawade, PuneAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Design Engineer – E&I to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and instrumentation systems, preparing technical documents, ensuring compliance with client specifications, and coordinating with vendors and customers to deliver high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities• Study equipment requirements and prepare control philosophy.• Ensure designs comply with customer and end-user specifications.• Prepare cost estimations for E&I components during the pre-order stage.• Develop technical documents including datasheets for motors, transmitters, gauges, switches, electric heaters, and temperature elements.• Select the most suitable components and models in coordination with vendors.• Submit documents to customers and provide timely responses to technical queries.• Prepare and finalize drawings for local control panels, junction boxes, and starter panels, and obtain customer approval.• Prepare and maintain I/O lists, cable schedules, electrical load lists, alarm/trip lists, and logic diagrams.• Create Bill of Materials (BOM) for cabling items required for skid cabling.• Design and verify the earthing system.Requirements• Education:• BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Instrumentation with 3–4 years of experience, OR• Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation with 6–8 years of experience.• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and related tools.• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and positive attitude.Preferred Skills (added advantage)• Hands-on experience in Creo, SolidWorks, or Plant 3D.
