Job Summary:

The EHS Officer will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all environmental regulations, occupational health, and safety standards as stipulated in the Environmental Clearance (EC) granted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. This role requires a qualified individual with expertise in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related specialization, who can lead and manage all EHS functions for the ethanol plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental Compliance & Management:

• EC Implementation: Ensure strict adherence to all specific and general conditions outlined in the Environmental Clearance.
• Water Management:
• Air Pollution Control:
• Reporting: Prepare and submit six-monthly compliance reports of EC conditions to the Regional Office of MoEF&CC, CPCB, and SPCB. Post environmental clearance and compliance status reports on the company website. Submit environmental statements in Form-V annually to the State Pollution Control Board.

Occupational Health & Safety:

• Health and Safety Program:
• Occupational Health Centre:
• Safety Equipment: Ensure all workers and employees are provided with the required safety kits/masks for personal protection.
• Training: Impart training to all employees on safety and health aspects of chemical handling, including safety and visual reality training.
• Fire Safety: Implement arrangements for protection against possible fire hazards during manufacturing and material handling.

Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) & General Compliance:

• CER Implementation:
• Environmental Management Cell
• Compliance with Other Acts

Qualifications:

• A qualified person with a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related specialization.
• Proven experience in EHS management, preferably in industrial projects, with a strong understanding of Indian environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of EIA Notification 2006 and its amendments, particularly concerning distilleries.
• Familiarity with ZLD systems, air pollution control technologies (ESP), and solid/hazardous waste management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,178.75 - ₹43,903.10 per month
