EHS Executive

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Management:

• Monitor adherence to local, state, and federal EHS regulations, including hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, and workplace safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Perform risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential workplace hazards.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified risks and prevent incidents.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

Employee Training and Awareness:

• Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees, covering topics like chemical safety, emergency response, and safe work practices.
• Promote a safety culture through awareness campaigns, communication initiatives, and employee engagement activities.

Environmental Stewardship:

• Monitor and manage waste disposal practices to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Implement initiatives to reduce environmental impact, such as energy conservation and water usage optimization.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and corrective actions.
• Prepare regular reports on EHS performance metrics and compliance status to management.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with operations teams, facility management, and management personnel to address EHS concerns and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies on inspections and reporting requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in safety science, environmental science, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant EHS certifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and best practices.
• Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment is beneficial.
