Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Astronomy Communicator / Science Educator to engage with students, educators, and the general public by promoting awareness and understanding of astronomy and space science. The ideal candidate will have a strong science background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in science outreach and education. Key Responsibilities: Conduct astronomical observations , telescope training, and equipment demonstrations during evening and night sessions at SPACE sites. Maintain the quality standards of program delivery and participant engagement. Plan and execute client sessions, activities, and events as per the agenda and timeline. Organize and facilitate outreach programs under the banner of SPACE India. Represent the organization in media interactions , talk shows, and write-ups (as per company media policy). Actively promote astronomy and space science education through various platforms. Coordinate and participate in public engagement events such as fairs, quizzes, observations, and public watch events. Use diverse, student-centered teaching methodologies to suit various learning styles and encourage active participation. Required Qualifications & Skills: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering. Experience: Fresher or up to 2 years of teaching/training experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills . Proficient in MS Office tools . Basic understanding of research and PR activities . Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, engaging narratives. Attitude & Attributes: Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. Comfortable working in challenging, fast-paced environments . Willingness to travel and work flexible hours , including evenings and weekends. Team-oriented with a proactive mindset.
