Education Officer

As the Education Officer at WWF-India, you will play a crucial role in implementing environmental education programs and activities for various audiences in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Your responsibilities will include engaging schools, community groups, and the general public in environmental conservation initiatives. You will work towards promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices through seminars, workshops, presentations, and other educational events. Key tasks will involve identifying key audiences and customizing education methods to suit their needs, creating educational materials such as leaflets and posters, and preparing technical reports and project documents. You will also collaborate with local civil society and volunteer activities to actively involve them in environmental conservation efforts. To excel in this role, you should hold a Post Graduate degree in Forestry, NRM, Environmental Science, Wildlife, Botany, or Zoology from a recognized university. Candidates with 3-4 years of experience in conservation education and developing environmental education programs will be preferred. Conceptual knowledge in natural resources, wildlife, biodiversity conservation, and environmental issues is essential. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills are necessary for effectively engaging with diverse target audiences. You should possess efficient event organization skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and maintain working relationships with stakeholders. Proficiency in spoken English and Hindi, as well as basic computer literacy, is mandatory for this role.
