Job Summary: The Education Officer cum Planetarium Operator is responsible for delivering, and managing educational programs for school colleges students, visitor engagement activities, and daily planetarium shows. The role involves scientific communication, content delivery, training, and facilitating hands-on learning experiences for school and college groups. Key Responsibilities: Plan and conduct interactive science education programs, workshops, and demonstrations. Operate, maintain, and schedule digital planetarium shows for diverse audiences. Curate content for astronomy-based shows. Assist in the development of curriculum-linked learning modules. Conduct guided tours of the museum and explain exhibits to visitors. Train volunteers, interns, and support staff in science communication. Assist in organizing science fairs, lectures, competitions, and special events. Maintain visitor data, feedback, and assist in report preparation. Qualifications & Skills: Master’s/ PhD degree in Science/Technology/Engineering or Education. Experience or strong interest in astronomy/planetarium operations. Excellent communication and public speaking skills. Creative approach to science education and outreach. Basic knowledge of AV equipment and digital tools. Willingness to work on weekends/public holidays for events.
