Job Summary: The Junior Planetarium Engineer supports the technical operations of the planetarium and other digital exhibits at the museum. The role focuses on equipment upkeep, show programming, audio-visual maintenance, and IT-related support to ensure smooth functioning of all scientific displays. responsible for designing, delivering, and managing educational programs for school college students, visitor engagement activities, and daily planetarium shows. Key Responsibilities: Operate and troubleshoot planetarium projection systems and software. Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment. Manage multimedia systems, audio-visual gear, and exhibit interfaces. Support the integration of new planetarium content. Coordinate with software providers and hardware vendors for system updates. Maintain logs of technical issues, solutions, and preventive maintenance. Provide technical support during science shows, lectures, and events. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science/Technology/Engineering or Education/ Computer Science, IT, or related field. Familiarity with digital projection systems, multimedia, and software integration. Ability to diagnose and solve technical issues independently. Willingness to learn planetarium-specific software and tools. Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing technical operations.
