Education Counsellor

Position Overview

The Education Counsellor will assist in guiding students, parents, and working professionals in selecting suitable courses, understanding career pathways, and completing admissions. This role is ideal for candidates who want to build a career in education counselling, admissions, or customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counselling & Guidance

  • Counsel students regarding educational programs, course options, and admission processes.

  • Understand student profiles, interests, and goals to suggest the right academic path.

  • Provide complete and accurate information about training programs, fees, internships, and placements.

2. Lead Handling & Conversion

  • Handle inbound calls, walk-ins, and online enquiries related to admissions.

  • Follow up with leads through calls, WhatsApp, and email to ensure conversions.

  • Maintain high conversion ratios for enquiries to admissions.

  • Explain program benefits, career opportunities, and institute strengths to prospective students.

3. Admission Process Management

  • Guide students through the complete admission processform filling, documentation, and payment.

  • Ensure timely coordination between students, trainers, and the academic team.

  • Maintain admission records, enquiry logs, and daily reports.

4. Communication & Follow-Up

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with potential students until final enrollment.

  • Respond to student queries and provide solutions promptly.

  • Build trust and maintain professional communication with parents and students.

5. Marketing & Outreach Support

  • Participate in student engagement activities, webinars, seminars, and counselling sessions.

  • Provide support in social media promotions, telecalling drives, and education fairs.

  • Assist in building brand awareness for the Institute.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily MIS reports for enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.

  • Document student counselling notes and update CRM/excel sheets regularly.

  • Share end-of-day (EOD) performance updates with reporting managers.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English & Hindi).

  • Ability to understand student needs and build rapport.

  • Confident, convincing, and target-oriented mindset.

  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, CRM preferred).

  • Good listening and problem-solving skills.

Education & Eligibility

  • Graduate/Undergraduate pursuing BBA, BA, B.Com, MBA, or any relevant field.

  • Freshers can apply; training will be provided.

  • Interest in counselling, sales, or education sector preferred.

  • Immediate joiners will be preferred.
