Were looking for a detail-driven and imaginative Senior Editor who can lead editorial excellence across our childrens books—from story ideation to final production. You will play a key role in shaping content that is engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with the brand’s creative vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of multiple projects across formats and teams.
• Refine manuscripts for tone, structure, readability, and developmental appropriateness based on age groups and formats.
• Collaborate with illustrators and designers to ensure seamless visual-text alignment.
• Deliver high-quality manuscripts independently while mentoring and guiding junior editors across projects.
• Co-lead content ideation for new titles, series, and formats—ensuring originality, inclusivity, and creative relevance.
• Maintain brand tone across all editorial outputs and ensure consistent quality control at every stage.
• Work cross-functionally with design, marketing, and production teams to support cohesive publishing workflows.

Core Skills:

• Strong grasp of children’s literature, developmental psychology, and age-level language nuances.
• Exceptional editing, rewriting, and structuring skills—with a creative eye and strategic mind.
• Experience with managing editorial calendars, freelance contributors, and multi-title workflows.
• Proficiency in MS Word, InDesign (basic), editorial tools, and working with illustrated layouts.
• Ability to balance creative intuition with brand strategy and market trends.
