Job Title: Echo Technician (Cardiology Hospital)

Reports To: Consultant Cardiologist / Medical Superintendent

Job Summary

The Echo Technician is responsible for conducting echocardiography investigations to support cardiologists in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring cardiovascular conditions. The role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and strict adherence to clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 2D Echo, Colour Doppler, M-Mode, and Doppler studies
• Assist cardiologists during advanced cardiac investigations
• Prepare patients and clearly explain echo procedures
• Operate echocardiography machines and ensure image accuracy
• Maintain and update patient reports and records
• Follow NABH / hospital quality and safety protocols
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of echo equipment
• Coordinate with OPD, IPD, ICU, and cath lab teams as required
• Handle emergency and bedside echo procedures when needed

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / Degree in Echocardiography / Cardiac Technology
• Certification from a recognized institute
• 2 years experience in a cardiology or multi-specialty hospital preferred
• Freshers with good practical exposure may be considered

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and echo techniques
• Accurate reporting and attention to detail
• Good communication and patient-handling skills
• Ability to work in shifts and emergency situations
• Professional ethics and teamwork

Duty Pattern

• OPD & IPD duty
• Shift / rotational duty as per hospital requiremen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,689.86 - ₹25,068.47 per month
