Due Diligence Specialist

Your Job

Koch Capabilities is seeking a contribution motivated and self-driven Specialist to join our Due Diligence Capability. This role will primarily focus on ensuring compliance with Know Your Customer requirements and conducting thorough screenings against sanctions lists.A successful candidate will have excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills, a customer focus, and the ability to collaborate across our organization to ensure compliance with export controls, trade sanctions and anti-money laundering laws.

Our Team

Our Due Diligence Capability is made up of professionals who support the diverse global businesses that make up Koch Inc. by advising on key international trade risks, which include sanctions compliance.

What You Will Do

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of external party files to ensure completeness and alignment with business requirements.
• Perform restricted party screenings using SAP GTS and maintain audit trails for leadership review.
• Screen transaction-related parties and addresses against applicable sanctions lists.
• Identify and escalate positive screening matches for further guidance and resolution.
• Collaborate with business units to gather additional information for decision-making on flagged matches.
• Support acquired businesses and non-SAP entities in aligning data streams with the sanctions screening process.
• Verify receipt and signature of required documentation to uphold compliance standards.
• Organize and store documentation centrally for accessibility and audit readiness.
• Maintain and update procedures and documentation related to sanctions screening.
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 2+ years of experience in trade compliance or a related function within a multinational organization.
• Experience conducting KYC screening and identifying red flags.
• General knowledge of AML/KYC laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Experience using SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS).
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience with third-party screening applications.
• Exposure to Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory bodies such as OFAC and BIS.
• Advanced proficiency with tools like Power BI, Alteryx, or UiPath.
