Drawing Engineer

Role Summary

The Civil Designer will support the engineering and design team by preparing accurate drawings, 2D & 3D models, and technical documents for civil construction projects. The role requires basic understanding of design standards, drafting tools, and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and plans for site development, roads, pipelines, buildings, and landscaping using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit).

· Work closely with civil engineers and project managers to understand requirements and translate concepts into technical drawings.

· Ensure all drawings meet industry standards, building codes, and project specifications, conducting quality checks for accuracy.

· Modify and update drawings to incorporate design changes, feedback, and site verification data

· Maintain drawing records, revisions, and project documentation.

· Conduct site visits to gather data, verify measurements, and resolve technical issue

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Basic knowledge of Revit / SketchUp / Civil 3D (added advantage).
• Understanding of civil engineering drawings and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, sections, and structural details.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction methodologies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year experience in drafting/design of civil projects.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
