The Director of SAP Tech Admin and SAP Application Delivery is responsible for leading the strategic direction, management, and optimization of the SAP technical administration and application delivery processes within the organization. Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of Senior SAP technical and Application Delivery Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Act as a key liaison between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between SAP capabilities and business needs.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SAP database administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Define roles and responsibilities within the DBA team, ensuring effective workload distribution and performance management.

Conduct regular health checks and audits of SAP databases to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
-
Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies for SAP databases to ensure data integrity and availability.

Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery procedures to verify their effectiveness and reliability.

Oversee the database growth analysis and develop archiving strategies, apply techno-functional expertise on data-dependent tables across various SAP modules.

Oversee the management of the SAP landscape, including system configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, and maintenance.

Ensure high availability and reliability of SAP systems through proactive management and disaster recovery planning.

Implement best practices for system upgrades, patches, and migrations to minimize disruption and ensure system integrity.

Oversee the design, and deployment of SAP applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and user expectations.

Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for SAP solutions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, and external partners.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and opportunities, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of SAP technical administration and application delivery.

Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on the status of SAP initiatives, system performance, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop and manage the budget for SAP technical administration and application delivery, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.

Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within the SAP environment.

Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain system integrity.
Experience & Educational Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience; Master s degree preferred.

Strong knowledge of SAP technologies, including S/4HANA, ECC, Oracle Exadata, SAP HANA, CPI, APIM, Fiori, and cloud-based solutions.

Experience managing large-scale SAP projects and initiatives using Agile methodologies.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Knowledge of SAP security, compliance, and data governance practices.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively both orally and in writing, facilitating effective collaboration and decision-making across teams and stakeholders.

Experience & Educational Requirements:
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience. 10+ years of directly-related or relevant experience with 5+ years in a managerial capacity, preferably in IT project management or IT delivery.
